Circle of Friends offers volunteer/internship opportunities in both teaching and operation.
Facilitate a weekly, 1-2 hour art class such as drama, music, painting, creative writing/poetry, movement, photography, pottery, guitar, etc. (Also keep in mind that we are continuously looking to incorporate new forms of expression!)
If you’re interested in facilitating classes, know that we are looking for friendly, compassionate, self-driven individuals who can commit to at least 6 months of service. Teachers need not be professional artists or musicians; anyone can be a volunteer teacher! All you need is a passion for art and people.
We offer an optional leadership track for operation interns moving from interns to coordinators to directors (a yearlong track, 3 months in each position) and potentially, in some cases, executive director. You can do it during or after your teaching internship.
